The “Royal Route” is a unique sailing experience from Greenock through the Crinan and Caledonian Canals to Inverness.

This truly magnificent journey, made famous by Queen Victoria, is home to some of the most captivating scenery and abundant wildlife on the West coast of Scotland. A sail through the Great Glen, along the world-famous Caledonian Canal is an unforgettable sailing experience.
In order to make the excursion as flexible as possible customers can book this trip in individual day journeys and join us on specific days, or they can book for the full 6 days. No sleeping berths are available onboard but customers will receive a helpful information booklet to aid travellers with accommodation.
Accommodation
The sailing schedule has been arranged to allow passengers to base themselves at Fort William on the nights of Thursday 26th April, Friday 27th April, Sunday 29th April, Monday 30th April and at Inverness on the night of Saturday 28th April.
Clyde Marine Services have produced a helpful information booklet to aid travellers with accommodation, restaurants and shopping but food and accommodation are not included in the trip. There are no sleeping berths available onboard.
